As she walked into the coffee shop with her knee-high, heeled boots, she looked around for people to notice her entrance. The legs in the boots carried her to the front register, where she removed her large sunglasses, placed them on top of her bleached blonde head and pulled down the skirt of her black, strapless mini-dress.

Considering it was 3 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon, saying that her outfit was out of place would be an understatement. Behind the sunglasses was a pair of brown eyes and some freckles sprinkled over her nose. She dug through her large designer purse for her pink alligator-skin wallet to pay for her coffee.

Many jeweled bracelets covered her wrists and clinked together as she stood waiting for her order. Fairly tall even without the grey, heeled boots, she stood taller than the man next to her. Once her giant, iced coffee was ready, she sat down on one of the wooden stools and put her zebra-printed iPhone back into her purse. She then pulled out a book ā€“ The Alchemist ā€“ and then began to read.

Sitting in a pink cardigan sweater and a frown, the woman in her mid-twenties was surrounded by her electronics. A laptop, iPod and iPhone were spread across the table, along with a medium Starbucks coffee. She focused on these items as her friend across the table spoke.

Her striking hazel eyes stood out against her heavy eye makeup and dark brown, curled hair. Her flip flops dangled without touching the ground beneath her chair and she often fiddled with her jewelry ā€“ a charm bracelet, two large rings and diamond earrings.

The pale-skinned girl sipped her coffee and continued the conversation with her friend. The two often stole glances at other people around the coffee shop and whispered to one another. The girl she was with dressed very differently from her, with sweatpants, no makeup, and her hair tied into a messy bun on top of her head.

As the two whispered and laughed together, the cups of coffee in front of them drained until they stood to leave.
