September happened…

Muir Woods View

I’m sorry to say I managed to skip right over September on the blog (whoops), even though it was actually a pretty important month for me. Quick recap?

Sept. 2: I spent Labor Day with two of my best friends in one of my favorite spots on earth – Muir Woods. We also explored Sausalito and ate (necessary) large amounts of crab and ice cream. Days like this really make me appreciate the Bay Area and how beautiful it is. Sometimes I take that for granted, and I really shouldn’t. Spending time with Bay transplants who are really in awe of the area and everything it has to offer also drives the point home for me.

Sept. 7:  One of my very closest family friends got married! It was the most gorgeous wedding I’ve ever seen at an amazing church in Napa. I’ve known Sam since I was pretty much an infant, and she and her parents are my second family. I could not be happier for her and Kyle.

Sept. 15: I turned 22! Believe it or not. I had a fantastic dinner and night out in the city with my friends on Saturday, and my little brother took me to dinner on my actual birthday. I even got out of a parking ticket on my birthday without having to whine to the cop that it was my birthday! Twenty-two hasn’t been so bad.

Sept. 16: I decided to take the day off work to extend my birthday weekend and spend the day wandering around the Presidio like a tourist with my best friend. There were views of the Pacific, the Golden Gate Bridge, downtown, and the forest. The weather was perfect, and Crissy Field rules.

Sept. 20: I went to my first Oktoberfest. We went on this Friday after work to Pier 48 in the city, and it was hilarious. Live German band, keg hats, and Lederhosen. Lots and lots of Lederhosen.

Sept. 22: I spent the first day of fall at the Coliseum to see the A’s clinch the A.L. West for the second straight year. It was magical and included the players showering fans with champagne. I’m kinda into baseball if you haven’t noticed. Duck and cover – October means playoffs.
