Snapshot of Central Park in Autumn

If you know me at all, you are aware of my perennial love of fall. The trees, the air, trudging through the crunchy blanket of color on the Chico streets. Bidwell Park had been my favorite spot to experience the season until Central Park easily slipped into first place when I got to see it for the first time this weekend. I spent four days in New York City with my best friend, which was absolutely amazing, and Central Park was our first stop after dropping off our bags at the brownstone where we stayed.

We could not have visited at a better time of year. There was a bit of rain and it was definitely cold for my thin California skin, but seeing my favorite season on the East Coast was perfect. I fell in love with the city and the park, and although we wanted to stay forever, we did manage to just miss the 30-degree, icy weather that’s there now. I’m pretty sure all of the leaves I love so much will be gone within a week or two.

It’s absolutely one of my new favorite places. Which photo is your favorite?
